In reply to paragraph 5 of your Despatch
No. 420 of the 9th. December last, I have the honour to transmit
herewith for your information the enclosed schedule showing
what further applications to the same effect as those of Messrs.
Rees and Masters have been or are likely to be received from
Officers similarly situated.
2.
As stated in my Despatch No. 459 of 21st.
October last Mr. Rees has been allowed, subject to your approval
to draw salary under the Sterling Scheme. The same privilege
has been extended to Misses Hamilton and Lawrence as they were
on dollar agreements.
3.
The total nett increase involved during
the remainder of the terms of agreement of all the Officers
in the schedule, if they are allowed to accept the Sterling
Salaries provided in the Scheme for their offices, will be
$2,561.
